Ceramics portfolio

I have been involved in ceramics for many years and have accumulated an array of pieces . I have been practicing ceramics and pottery since I was a child but started to seriously focus on it towards the end of middle school. During this time I became involved in my local art studio, Katonah Art Center. I have now been taking lessons at KAC for 3 years and, this year, I am a ceramics studio assistant. 

I have loved art since I was a child but discovered my strength for art in my studio art class in 9th grade. I was fond of drawing, painting, and ceramics. But I had the most interest in ceramics. In 10th grade I took a ceramics course which I thoroughly enjoyed. That year I chose to take AP 3D art the next year. In my Junior year, this year, I have been highly driven to produce pieces for my  AP portfolio. Being the only Junior in my ceramics class has been difficult, but I have persevered and made pieces for my portfolio throughout the year that I am proud of.
